More about Paper napkin Kotte Small

A tasteful collaboration with artist and pattern designer Hanna Werning. A paper napkin with a textile-like look and feel.

Kotte Small is a decorative paper napkin featuring a beautiful, nature-inspired pattern created by pattern designer Hanna Werning. Pine cones, leaves and needles form a playful motif in soft, earthy colours. The napkin is equally suitable for everyday coffee breaks, autumn gatherings and Christmas glögg parties. In addition, the pattern is easy to combine with plain tablecloths such as Boheme Natural or Dark Chocolate, as well as other textiles in natural tones from the Robust collection.

The napkin measures 25 × 25 cm when unfolded and comes in a practical pack of 40 napkins. An easy way to create a personal and inviting table setting inspired by Swedish nature.

It also makes a lovely gift for autumn dinners and gatherings.

Axlings + Hanna Werning

The Kotte collection includes a kitchen towel, linen napkin, paper napkins and cushion cover.
“It was very easy to say yes to collaborating with Fredrik and Axlings. There was an immediate sense of joy and ease in our first meeting. I am drawn to linen as the magnificent base material it is, but also to Axlings’ balanced and playful colour palette.
(Linen has a special place in my heart. It is an ancient material that people have worked with, used, braided and woven since time immemorial. I also enjoy growing flax myself, mainly for its delicate flowers and beautiful seed heads.)
The collaboration with Axlings has developed very naturally over the past year. I like to think of it as a locally grown project. Fredrik is energetic and positive and often stops by my studio, where we sit down and brainstorm ideas together. He usually has a wish or a starting point that I then develop further.” Hanna Werning
Hanna has created the Kotte, Mersmak Kryddor, Grönsaker and Sjublomster collections.
